The Power of Thankfulness
There really is power in thankfulness! An attitude of gratitude makes a huge difference. Positivity is contagious. But, how does power come from being thankful?
People who express gratitude tend to have characteristics or tendencies that promote relationships. Grateful people are more likely to take action to resolve conflicts and engage in helpful behavior. They are also more likely to have low levels of narcissism and a willingness to forgive.
We begin a new sermon series this week called “The Power of Thankfulness.” While we’ll look at how thankfulness improves our mental, emotional, and spiritual wellbeing, we also want to focus on how an attitude of gratitude directly effects our relationships with others.
Sermon Notes are found on the Park Avenue UMC App. Text paumcapp to 77977 to get a link to download the App.
